Merry Christmas and a Happy 2010.

paperklipchristmassign

Wishing all of my family, friends and lovely customers and blog readers a very Merry Christmas, and a safe and happy holiday.  I really look forward to new and exciting things in 2010.  I am very excited about taking Holly Becker’s (of Decor 8 blog fame) ‘Blogging your Way’ course in the New Year.  I am also excited about Paperklip ‘primary’ – a very sweet range I am working on for next year and I am mostly excited about 5 days away in a CARAVAN with The Viking and the little vikings.  See you soon. xxoo.

PS – SALE starts Monday January 4th, 2010 with 20% off storewide.

The last one for 2009.  A pretty name for a new baby.

Bohemian brief.

The brief was Bohemian for this lovely name.  ‘Ruby’ will be heading off tommorow with a whole lot of other lovely names for Kate from Tea Princess.  The nice thing is I get to hand deliver them as their office is not too far from here.  And I might even sneak a peek at their super lovely things for girls.  I feel a Christmas dress purchase for my girls coming on…..

Gingerbread House.

On the weekend we had a little party for our friends who are moving back to New Zealand.  In the afternoon Miss D, Miss H and Master L helped decorate this little house and then they demolished it with our friend’s little boy.  They had such a fab time.  Good luck Kelly, Tanya, Dayne and Marley – we will miss you.

Hello.  Are you are getting ready for Christmas?  My daughter said to me today – Mummy – I can’t believe that we are already up to no. 7 (on the advent calendar).  I almost can’t believe it either when I think of all the things I want to do – put a little more in the Etsy shop, hang my heart shaped card holder up, write my cards (I actually love to do this – weird I know).  I am even going to attempt a pudding this year for Christmas lunch dessert.  I can say that the tree is up, the lights are switched on outside and I’ve almost ticked everyone off of the list.  And that feels good.

I have a few photos to share with you sent over to me by Naomi from Scissors, Paper, Cake.  Naomi was a fellow stallholder at the recent Magnolia Square in Sydney.  Naomi has possibly the most lovely portfolio of cakes and cookies for parties (and other special occasions) that I have come across.  Together with Natalie from Imprintables (who does very lovely stationery – my weakness) the girls have everything you may need to create the perfect party.  Delightful and delicious and thank you Naomi!

I heart Julia Rothman.

Now you know I love paper.  I also love illustration – with neat little lines and tiny details (a hark back to my stint as a draftswoman no doubt).  Julia Rothman is a most talented illustrator, textile artist and general mutli-talented super woman of craft.  She has combined my two favourites in this lovely illustration borrowed from design*sponge.  I hanker after everything that she does.  Is that stalking?  Delightful.
