The Paper Poncho.

Look at my little birds!  This is actually the paper tree skirt I’ve been making for Mathilda’s Market this Sunday, but it also makes a super fun poncho.  Peep, peep.

Mathildas Market

Thank you Mathilda’s for the lovely write-up on your new blog.  The new graphics are so sweet. See you Sunday.

I am loving this dress on Etsy – just not sure if I can pull off the keyhole back!

Have you found something nice on Etsy lately?

Cosmos.

Cosmos – fresh from the Farmer’s Market at Warwick Farm Racecourse this morning.  Never been before but will definately go back.  Total haul – Cosmos, Kifler potatoes, Rhubarb, Carrots, Salad Mix, Cherry Tomatoes, Gala Apples, Pork and Sage sausages and a pork Salami from Trunkey Bacon and Pork in Orange, NSW.  Delicious.

It was a nice day today.

It was such a nice day today – the sun was shining in Sydney so Master L and Miss D (Miss H was in pre-school!) took ourselves off to the big town and here are some pictures of our day.  We visited the Christmas Shop in David Jones and found a very nice advent calendar and this way we don’t have to throw out paper ones every year.  Then we hopped on over to Kinokuniya, the amazing bookstore with English and Japanese books – including a very good Japanese craft section.  I had to have the Papercutting book – full of lovely soft patterns like the flowers above.  The little pack on top – well I had no idea what I was getting there – it had some beautiful coloured papers peeping out so I couldn’t resist.  Turns out there were some nice little patterns in there along with the paper so – double happy.  Then we met The Viking for lunch and caught the train home.

Just before home I checked my post box and found a little package from Melissa of Tinyhappy.  It was a little needlebook I bought from her Etsy shop last week.  Melissa has a lovely blog all about life in New Zealand, filled with snippets of sewing (mostly from vintage and recycled things), family life and the nature of New Zealand.  It is really worth a look.

Hope that the sun was shining on you today too.

Mathilda’s Market November 1.

MM_sydney_cube-01-01

It is market season – and this is one I am really excited about.  This will be my third Mathilda’s and I am a little bit chuffed because I have been asked by Anne to do the Christmas decorating.  It is a lovely event, loads of unique stalls and lovely stallholders to meet too.  And of course Paperklip will be hanging around!  Hope to see you there.
